April 20, 2001 - Huge update for Forward Observer's Sidewalk Sale.  I've added a new PREVIEW page for some looks at coming mods.  Also two new Combat Photography submissions - thanks go to Juju and to David Harper.  Finally, a Sherman pic taken of the Desert Fox, Desert Rats Total CM Conversion, with a Bergman Sherman in desert camo by Molek has been added to the Bergman Sherman section, and a pic of Audace's M10 mod has been added to the Other Vehicle Mods section!
April 8, 2001 - Manx at Combat Missions has gratiously agreed to host my CM Mods for Newbies guide.  Head over to the Combat Missions website to either read it on line or pick a copy up.  Also today, I have added a couple of preview pics of the soon to be released Sherman OPTIONPACK mod for Marco Bergman's Sherman series of mods.  Check out the pics on the Bergman's Sherman pages.
is BigTime Software's revolutionary tactical game of World War II combat.  Forces, closely modeled after actual combatant men, tanks, and support equipment, clash on a detailed fully 3-D battlefield under the contol of the player or the computer.  Actions and movement are plotted for a 60 second interval by both sides, and then resolved in a replayable movie with full control over camera angle and zoom.  The game is not only technically rock-solid and comprehensive, but truely amazing to look at.

Part of the appeal of Combat Mission is the fact that all the terrain and vehicle graphics in the game are open source BMP files which can be modified by users of the game.  This has resulted in a game that continues to improve graphically as skilled users create new, more detailed and authentic graphics.  See the Resources page for links to sources of the graphical mods seen here.

Dec. 10, 2000 - Decided to clean up this site a bit and list it as a Combat Mission Resource.   Have recently added several screen shots showing the landscape and terrain features that the game is played on; have a look at Scenery in CM.

August 12, 2001 - Stripped the site down to 5 meg from 15 meg due to new policies at Homestead.  Just the latest incarnation of the Incredible Shrinking Internet.  Sorry folks...
September 28, 2002 - Moribund still, but possible that the site will live again, with the introduction of  Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin, covering the Eastern Front.  If I can get it together, and can afford to get a premium site - who knows...
